Ain Tominaga is a Japanese dancer and choreographer based in Berlin.

She began studying classical ballet at the age of six, training under Kiyoka Kimura at KK International, where she also took part in the KK Youth Project, collaborating with a variety of choreographers.

She studied the “Barre Flexible” method at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg in France, and in Canada she worked with Coastal City Ballet, Arts Umbrella, and Ballet Edmonton, gaining practical experience in classical ballet, improvisation, and choreographic processes.

After returning to Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she became a resident dancer at Dance Base Yokohama, performing in works such as Night Shades by Jiri Pokorny. As a member of KK ART PROJECT, she appeared in pieces including Wanderer by Dimo Milev, while also presenting her own choreographic works. As a freelance artist, she performed in The Musical Offering directed by Akiyoshi Nitta, staged in cities including Ueda, Toyohashi, and Yokohama.

Since relocating to Berlin in 2023, she has performed in The one AND lonely by Jiri Pokorny with DART Dance Company as a project member and Dornröschen by Ivan Alboresi with Ballett Theater Nordhausen as a guest dancer. She also took part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony and most recently performed ANIMA with Flock Works.

In addition, she creates duets in collaboration with dancers from different backgrounds and founded HenoTanz, an independent event series in Berlin. Through this project, she creates platforms for her own artistic work and cross-cultural exchange, actively collaborating with artists from diverse disciplines, including painters and musicians.
